( vote)How To Tell If CBD Oil Is Working. It’s no longer news that consuming non-psychoactive Cannabidiol, or CBD as it is more commonly known, offers a wide variety of medicinal and therapeutic health benefits. Many of these benefits have been identified in a wide variety of studies that have been conducted over the last few years.
The most lauded of these benefits include anticonvulsive, antiemetic, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, antioxidant, and antipsychotic effects.
In other words, CBD has the potential to upend the traditional methods of treating epilepsy, anxiety, schizophrenia, depression, chronic pain, and myriad other disorders.
However, there is a question that is asked over and over again when talking about the many benefits of CBD. People often ask themselves, how long does it take for CBD to take effect? And, how do I know if it is even working?
How To Tell If Cbd Oil Is Working
To know the answer to the first question, we must primarily consider the chosen method of consumption. For example:
- Ingestion of CBD via capsule or edible may take up to two hours before the effects are felt.
- If CBD is taken sublingually, it takes around 20 to 30 minutes for the effects to be felt.
- If CBD is smoked or vaped, the effects may be felt immediately, but most likely within the first 10 minutes.
Regarding the second question, what if you have been taking CBD oil for a while and still feel nothing? How can you tell if CBD is having an effect?
Different effects and reactions
For some people, the positive side effects of taking CBD appear immediately. For example, patients with epilepsy and other convulsive disorders feel improvement almost immediately. However, if you have been taking CBD products for a long period and have not noticed any significant improvements, then it is very likely that you have been taking an inadequate dose.
In most cases, it is best to start with a small dose and work up to a larger dose if needed. So if you have been taking CBD and have yet to feel an improvement, then it is likely time to increase the dose.
A 25 mg daily dose is more than likely going to be sufficient for most people. However, in extreme cases, doses up to 60 mg per day might be required.
So, I guess by now you know how to tell if CBD oil is working. Like we made mention in the article, you just have to take the right dose and monitor the effects over a period of time.
